We Deserve Honesty
Keith Fitzgerald OPPOSES a State Income Tax
I have been asked in dozens of candidate forums if I support an income tax here in the state of Florida, and I have consistently answered no. In a recent mailer, my opponent claims I raised my hand at a September 22, 2008 League of Women Voters forum to show support for a state income tax. That is FALSE. Consistent with every other forum and written communication I have had on this topic, I answered “no”. And I did not raise my hand. Pat Price, the head of the local League of Women Voters, is on record as to what happened at the forum andbacks up my claim. The photo in the mailer is one of me on the floor of the state house raising my hand in discussion of a bill.
